The hilarity of the 725 shotgun within Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is almost embarrassing. The ability to take out opponents from a distance in one shot, (not to mention the damage spread), has been a highlight of many from Infinity Ward’s 2019 reboot.
Now a new patch has arrived, intending to improve on a number of issues facing the game. The nerf to the 725 shotgun is one of the most notable from this new patch. The nerf for the 725 will ensure a larger spread when fired from the hip, and inflict less damage at range. Other weapons in the list of nerfs include the M4A1 Assault rifle, the PKM and M91 LMG. On the flip side, weapons such as SMGs and Pistols received damage upgrades.

Another of the changes addressed with the patch include a problem gamers have had with footsteps. The issue has stemmed from the geometry of where players are, and the upgrade should improve their position. The developers also confirmed that an alteration to big and loud footsteps would be on the way, particularly in ADS and crouching.
The patch further includes a reduced trigger width for claymores, fixes relating to stability, extra recoil when mounting, battle chatter, lighting and Ground War bugs. The patch also introduces new maps into the game, from the Krovnik Farmland in Ground War Mode to Shoot House within Multiplayer.
