Become a Moonshiner in Red Dead Online this December and even open up your own speakeasy.

Red Dead Online players can participate in a new Frontier Pursuit coming to the game on December 13.

Here, you will start your own bootlegging business in this new Specialist Role. This will be an ideal trade for those who chose the Trader path – or if you are seeking to own property.

As Moonshiner, you will unlock role-specific skills as you work on various distillation methods. Of course, lawmen aren’t too keen on bootleggers, so you will have to avoid them. You will also need to put rival moonshiners out of business. If you succeed, you may even have a chance at opening a speakeasy.

According to Rockstar, any Trader who has completed a sell mission or reached Rank 5 in the Trader progression will receive an introduction via Cripps to meet the bootlegger Maggie Fike located at Emerald Ranch. She will help you get started.

To get things off and running you will need to buy a Moonshining Shack where you will distill spirits in the basement.

You’ll also work with Maggie through story missions to be played solo or with others. She is seeking revenge on those who tried to take her out, and it’s up to you to help her accomplish this goal.

As your bootlegging business grows, you’ll learn new recipes and ways to distill which will make your spirits the best in the west. Once you open up your own speakeasy, it can be decorated and even a country band can play at your establishment which comes with a dance floor.

More content is coming alongside Outlaw Pass No. 2, new Moonshiner role unlocks, the new Navy Revolver, additional clothing options and soon you will be able to increase the number of outfit slots in your Wardrobe. Having more slots for western duds is always a plus.
