Japanese Charts: Pokémon Sword And Shield Break 2 Million Sales, Switch Sales Rise

Famitsu’s Japanese chart figures are now in for 25th November – 1st December, revealing that Pokémon Sword and Shield is showing no signs of slowing down.

The two games have now sold an estimated two million physical copies in Japan alone, racing ahead of games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eevee. The games shifted another 275,959 sales this week, comfortably outselling the new releases which appeared in the charts.

The top ten is mostly made up of Switch titles as is usually the case, although SD Gundam G Generation: Cross Rays did sell better on PS4 in its opening week.

In terms of hardware, the Switch saw another small boost in sales this week despite a lack of major new software releases. Here are this week’s figures, followed by lifetime sales in brackets:
